The labels to be used in the pharmaceutic and health sector must include the product name, content and use and restrictions for use, warnings in a detailed manner. During storing and transport phase of the drugs, the labels shall remain legible and shall not be deformed. Therefore attention must be given to the materials to be used and printing quality. Since information on the drug labels include health- related data directly informing the consumers, the products must be produced and submitted to the customers in a perfect and flawless manner. In order to ensure traceability of the products, there are readable information in the data matrix and the content next to the data matrix.

Related to the protection of drugs; pharmaceutics being classified as “Drugs to be protected from light ” , ”Drugs to be kept in the refrigerator ‘’,  ‘’High risk drugs’’ are signed with special colored labels.

Packaging and instruction for use of medicinal products must be prepared within certain standards provided that they are not promotive and shall not have any promotion nature.
